Should i use Hope in a Jar?
My skin condition:
REALLY uneven skin tone
huge pores
dull color
lots of blackheads
Which moisturizer should i use? Thanks
Hope in a Jar?
Whatever cleanser and regime you decide upon (and cost is no guarantee of efficacy - 50% of people are allergic to something they put on their face, and reactions can range from flaky skin and dermatitis to acne, rosacea and swelling), use my cleansing program. It can be followed with any products, and it guarantees gentle exfoliation and reduced eruptions. The link is below.
Hope in a Jar?
First you should be using a cleanser with an alpha hydroxy in it. Something like Neutrogena's Deep Clean is good. Go online to their site and check out what they have for troubled skin.
Then use a good moisturiser (non-oily) of which there are many. Bobbi Brown makes a good one. But there are many.

Which Shiseido Compact Foundation should I use? Ivory, Beige, or Ochre?
My background is Korean and I'm wondering which Shiseido compact foundation will best match my skin tone. I have light to medium olive skin. There are three types: Ivory (i40, i60), Beige (b40, b60) and Ochre (o40, 060). What is the difference between these three types?
I also find that my foundation rubs onto my shirt collar, is there
any way to minimize the makeup rubbing onto my clothes?
Thanks.

there's no way anyone on the internet can help you. you have to get to a shiseido makeup counter and try each color on your jaw to see which one is right. even the slightest difference in color looks ridiculous; a perfect match disappears onto your skin.
as for your makeup transferring, i'm guessing you don't set the foundation with a little dusting of powder? also, don't slap on the makeup. use a soft natural bristle foundation brush for the most seamless results, even with a compact.

Best cut and color for me?
I have fair, cool skin. I want something that looks natural, but will compliment my skin tone and blue eyes well.
Here are a couple of pictures:

Best cut and color for me?
i think you will look with a light golden brown. almost blonde but not quite. and because your face is oval shaped you can get away with almost any haircut you want! i have learned that from experience:o) i'm addicted to cutting my hair and every haircut i've gotten has been good except for one, but thats cuz the lady didnt kno what she was doin! lol so go for something spunky that fits your style and dont be afraid to take risks
Best cut and color for me?
I agree with the answer below. A golden brown would definatley accent your eyes and make them stand out while a darker brown would look too un natural. You might also want to try more layers that are shorter around the frame of your face.
Reply:i have extremely light skin. i have to buy the very lightest foundation. i've often been described as fair and use it to describe myself to hairstylists and make up people. i have not dyed my hair, i think i like my natural color, but i've definitely thought about it and done my research. auburn, certain reds, light brown, blond, but not platinum! don't go dark, really red or black and stay away from dark, dark browns. regular browns are ok. as for your eyes, your current blond is definitely good. people like the whole blond hair blue eyes thing. but certain shades of copper and auburn look good as well. your lucky to have blue eyes! they will match almost anything!

Right foundation color?
What will your skin look like if you wear a foundation that is too light for your skin tone and what if you wear one that is too dark? Can facial hair get in the way of proper makeup applying?
Right foundation color?
If you use foundation that is too light-you end up looking pasty %26amp; ill. Too dark- it just looks weird %26amp; not the proper colour.
Facial hair can get in the way of foundation especially if it is dark because you see it. There are different thoughts on facial hair if it is blonde, it is a matter of preference either way. For me personally on my face I like a cleaner look so I have it waxed or use sensitive Veet to get rid of the tiny blonde hairs. Others think hair gives you a more naturally matte look.
Unless the hair is long or dark, don't be concerned about it.
Right foundation color?
If you get it too light you will look pale and gross, and too dark your face will end up looking dirty. Facial hair will stand out more if you are wearing make up
Reply:Rule of thumb as i know it is that your foundation should blend into the top of your hand. why... not sure, but thats suppose to be the best spot to test it on. if it blends there, then your good to go. I dont think that foundation gets "in the way" of facial hair... but i wouldn't put it "on" your eyebrows or anything, (directly anyway)
Reply:you will look like you are wearing a mask. try the makeup counter and they will do their best to fit you into the right shade.

Light brown hair to black with electric blue highlights?
Hello I was curious if I would be able to pull off changing my light brown/dirty blond hair to black with blue highlights. My hair is shoulder length and layer, and I have blue eyes, and what I call tan skin becaue it looks like I have a constant tan. I was just curious if it would go with my skin tone and all.
Thanks
Light brown hair to black with electric blue highlights?
um no that might turn out ugly
Light brown hair to black with electric blue highlights?
that would have looked good in 1985
Reply:I have that done and it looks really cool my hair is naturally really dark so i had *flashes* bleached into it by a hair dresser then bought my own hair dye (star gazer) and put the blue in! your best using semi-pemament hair dye as that way if you get bored of blue you can go for a different colour! Then change would be big so ask a hair dresser for how dark you shouuld go some people cant pull hair that is dark.xx
Reply:Black is drastic and too hard to fade out.
Reply:no
Reply:i think it would look good.. just make sure you reallllllly wanna put black in because its hard to get out unless you bleach your hair. also use semi permenant blue but you have to bleach the strips where its gunna be blue first or else it will turn out green. I had a friend who did the same exact thing and it came out really good =]
hope i helped!

10 Questions About Make Up and Stuff?!?
ok...i have brown-ish red-ish hair, medium blue eyes, and a medium skin tone ((im part italian)).
1. what colors of eye shadow would look best on me?
2. what is the best way to apply mascara and eye liner (the pencil kind))?
3. should i put lotion on before applying make up? ((my face is kind of dry in some spots, but really greasy in others))
4. should i use glittery clear lipgloss or pink lipgloss?
5. shoud i use blush?
6. is there a way to reduce the size if the pores on my nose?
7. how do i get rid of black heads and pimples?
8. what colors will make my blue eyes pop?
9. what is the best kind of foundation/cover up? i hate that feeling like you're wearing a mask...what doesnt make it feel like that?
10. how can i keep my skin really clear/glowing/beautiful?
10 Questions About Make Up and Stuff?!?
I'm gonna answer a few of these.
1-I also have blue eyes but am very fair skinned. I use a few different shades of brown on my eyes. You have to blend them and smudge the lines to make it look right. There are some makeup sites out there that can teach you how to do that. I use black mascara and eyeliner. It works for me.
2- I apply my eyeliner first. I line the whole bottom lid and then about 1/4th of the top lid on the outside corner of the eye. I then smudge it slightly. Next, mascara. I do the top and the bottom. But these are my eyes, yours may need something totally different.
3-Use an oil-free moisturizer sparingly on the trouble spots. You can do this before you put on makeup and also at night after you take your makeup off. You do that, right???
9-for that really light feel, try those mineral foundations. They are very light and give great coverage! The one from L'oreal is fantastic!
10-cleanse your face morning and night. Always remove your makeup at night. NO exceptions!!! Try not to touch your face too much and avoid smoking or being around smoke. Use a foundation with sunscreen and stay hydrated at all times.
Hope this helped!!

9. what is the best kind of foundation/cover up? i hate that feeling like you're wearing a mask...what doesnt make it feel like that? COVERGIRL :p

2 coats mascara-a little black eyeliner on bottom
always apply lotion
pink-glitter looks tacky
a little bit of lightpink blush
wash it in cold water or buy a pore reducing wash
nuetragena skin clearing concealing stick
green and purple
covergirl cllean makeup liquid foundation
drink lots of water and get lots of sleep plus wash your face twice a day
Reply:1) Try a gold shimmery eyeshadow.
2) Curl your eyelashes and slide the comb? (I don't know how to explain it) I'm not a fan of eyeliner.
3) Always apply moisturizer before applying makeup.
4) I love the look of plain lipglosses.
5) I wouldn't advise it.
6) By using a special moisturizer and/or face cleanser yes.
7) Pore-strips. I use Biore pore-strips.
8) Shades of browns.
9) Tinted-moisturizer.
10) Use a good skin exfoliater/cleanser.
Hope I helped. :)
Reply:1. Greens, and teals would look nice. Make sure to do it sheer though.
2. I like using dark brown eyeliner (but for you a medium gray is better) and only applying it lightly form the corner of my eye to half-way under my eye. I think if you do it all the way under your eye it looks too made up.
3. Get a moisturizer that is not oily and only apply to the parts of your face that are dry.
4.Both are cute. I prefer pink for everyday and glittery for special occasions.
5.Only if you want. A pretty pink blush is good to brighten your face during the winter months.
6.Yup. I like the masks from bath and body works spa line, but you could also go to your drugstore and look for pore refining masks.
7. Lots of different ways. I like the clean and clear acne cleansing set (not sure what the real name is). I use it 2x a day and my face looks noticeably better overnight.
8. Green and Grays are the best (I wish I had green eyes, they are so pretty :])
9. The best is mineral foundation. I swear by it. Another good alternative is liquid foundation and you'd only apply to your "troubled spots" (acne, redness etc)
10. Wash 2x a day and moisturize. Find products that you love and stick to them.
Reply:1. Stick to neutral shades like brown or copper, it'll make your blue eyes really pop!
2. Wiggle the mascara wand on the base of your lash line and sweep up. Don't forget to also apply mascara on the top of you lashes (apply to both sides). For more control of the eye liner, pull your eyes outward (if that makes sense) so you have more precision.
3. You do not have to put lotion on your entire face. If your cheeks are dry but you tend to be greasy on your forehead, then just apply on your cheeks. Another suggestion is to pick an oil free moisturizer/gel (like clinique or proactiv), it can go on your entire face (even greasy areas) and won't make it look like face wax.
4. Use pink lipgloss, its a flattering feminine shade.
5. Use blush sparingly. It'll give your face a flush of color (youthfulness) and can accentuate pretty cheekbones.
6. Try Bare Escentuals Mineral Veil Powder. It'll make it look flawless...or just any powder. Or try Biore Pore refining products.
7.Black Heads: use Biore (they have some specifically for blackheads. And I use Proactiv for my pimples that are pretty much gone!!! :)
8. Neutral shades such as brown or bronze
9. Bare Escentuals Foundation. I love this stuff. I also hate wearing foundation, my skin tends to break out easily. But with this product, which is a natural mineral, you can sleep in it and won't wake up with a surprise in the morning. You buff it on like a powder but gives you excellent coverage without the yucky foundation feeling. Try it and you'll love it!
10. Have a daily skin regimen. Exfoliate, cleanse, tone, and moisturize. Treat yourself at least once a month to a great facial.
Hope this helps!!
~Cheers!

1. I think that warm tones colours will look better, mainly for ur hair, like light-mid browns, creams %26amp; golds.
2. Move the brush up from the root of ur lashes. Start from the inner lashes to the outta. U can apply the eyeliner on top of ur lahes or on the bottom just by moving it, like ur drawing.
3. U can put sum moisturiser on ur b4 foundation- but make sure it dries.
4. I think its better to use a pink gloss instead of a glitter one.
5. Only use a little blush, but if u have a natural pinky glow dont bother- sumtimes it can be the thing that makes u look over done.
6. I guess just cleaning ur face every nite to get rid of dirt or make up
7. Clean ur face
8. Browns, lilacs, golds %26amp; blues- but judge the shade on ur skin tone
9. I like '2 true' for a concealer, i dont always use foundation, but i guess a Maxfactor one is good

What color eye shadow should i wear?
I'm going to a formal function. my dress is yellow and brown(a darker shade). it has sleeves until my elbow. the ballroom has yellow lighting. what colour combination of eye shadow should i wear. will blue look nice? i have grey and silver and i know it looks good but i feel like switching it up a bit. should i mix blue and grey together? i have a yellow skin tone and fair skin.
Also, can you give me some ideas how should my makeup be on that night?
What color eye shadow should i wear?
never wear blue with yellow and brown...that doesn't match at all. wear a neutral brown. do this all the time and it looks great, but put on some dark brown eye shadow and then put on a lighter tn color and blend until you like it. it looks so good, but don't wear reddish browns because it offsets the look totally. make sure they are pure browns. you could also add in some yellow on the brow line or something i you wanted...have fun!!
What color eye shadow should i wear?
what color are you eyes if they are brown try pink if they are green try blue qnd if they are blue try brown...these are the color that will bring out the color in you eyes
Reply:I would use dark browns and maybe even some dark greys and blacks.
Reply:I wud go for gold %26amp; add sum darker brown in the corners of ur outta lid. I know u mite think it wont show up, but i think it will look nice than having blue. Silver may look nice aswell, but u only want a lil.
If u go for the gold, put it all over ur eyelid %26amp; just above it, not all the way up to ur brow. Put sum brown on the outta edge %26amp; then blend inwards. The brown %26amp; gold will properly look nice against ur eyes. Just use a light pink gloss, which will look nice.
Reply:Well I recommend these shadow colors by MAC Amberlights, Bronze, mulch, romping, honeylust, and cosmic...if u want any advice on aplication hit me up

never wear blue with yellow and brown...that doesn't match at all. wear a neutral brown. do this all the time and it looks great, but put on some dark brown eye shadow and then put on a lighter tn color and blend until you like it. it looks so good, but don't wear reddish browns because it offsets the look totally. make sure they are pure browns. you could also add in some yellow on the brow line or something i you wanted...have fun!!
